Troop 214 – Scouting for over 70 years
Scouting America is a year-round program for girls and boys 11–17 providing fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help them become the best version of themselves. Scouting is designed to build character, citizenship, and personal fitness through an outdoor-centered program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult Scoutmaster. Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Scouts explore their interests and improve skills while working toward Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle.
Troop 214 is a Scouting America Linked Troop; meaning we have a boys troop 214-B and a girls troop 214-G. Our leadership coordinates with one another to provide both troops’ scouts opportunities to go places, test themselves, and have one-of-a-kind adventures that can’t be found anywhere else.

Adults support our Scout leaders
Adult volunteers advise, train, and support our scouts. They help Scouts grow into our next generation of leaders in our communities and country. We rely on knowledgeable people that can commit time and resources to help the scouts, as well as the troops, grow and thrive.
We insist on a safe and inviting environment, and all of our adult volunteers are thoroughly background checked and are committed to two-deep leadership principles in all our interactions. If you are willing to donate time or resources, please reach out to the scoutmasters on the contact page.

Our Scouts are very active!
With Scouting America, our Scouts plan, organize, and lead our weekly meetings along with monthly campouts and other outdoor activities. These meetings are fun and challenging, and teach a wide range of scout skills. Using our program, scouts are encouraged to participate in making choices, lead, present, speak to larger groups, learn valuable life skills, and experience outdoor adventures in a safe, supervised environment.
Our activities align with the aims of Scouting, which are: to experience and respect nature and the outdoors, and to build youth into quality citizens and leaders by developing character, fostering citizenship, and promoting personal fitness.
